Pass Christian Middle School sixth graders sponsor several service projects each year where they "give back" to our community.  They promote the service projects on Good Morning Pirates and challenge the seventh and eighth graders to donate as well. The students' 1st term service project was to donate needed items to the Humane Society of South Mississippi. Charlene Stephens, sixth grade social studies teacher and sponsor, stated, "Thank you for your donations to the Humane Society of South Mississippi. We have 2 big boxes full of food, toys, towels, and blankets to give to the shelter. There are many cats and dogs that thank you too!"

The students' 2nd term service project is for the Pass Christian Food Bank.  The Pass Christian Food Bank is operated by three of the churches in our city for Pass Christian residents who have fallen on hard times.  Students are encouraged to bring in canned goods and non-perishable items to give to those less fortunate.  Another year-long project is collecting soda can tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in Jackson, Mississippi.  The money raised from these tabs helps families with their lodging during their children's hospital stay.  Mrs. Stephens stated, "Our students have the biggest hearts!  Thank you for giving.  Together we do make a difference!"
